JD HOSS, Owner & Lead Installer

So maybe you’ve been wondering what JD HOSS stands for anyway. Well, the “J” is for Joel, the “D” is for Depaoli and HOSS is his nickname. Take a look at his photo and if you have ever watched Bonanza or visited the Ponderosa Ranch in North Lake Tahoe, you might just see some resemblance.

Whether you call him HOSS, Joel, or JD, just don’t call him late for dinner. Better yet don’t invite him to dinner at all, or there won’t be any food left for you.

In addition to being one nice guy, Joel’s also pretty picky, that is, picky about your floor. Be prepared that even though you think your new floor looks great, he won’t leave until he thinks your floor is great.

Birgitta is the friendly face you will meet when you walk in our showroom doors. She is eager to assist you find the floor that suits your budget, taste, and needs.

Birgitta is well informed on the various flooring products and has an eye to help you in your search. Her genuine people skills, however, go beyond the showroom.

She has a passion for health and exercise and enjoys teaching at Sierra College and working with heart patients at Tahoe Forest hospital. And don't let her gentle appearence fool you - Birgitta is a black belt in shotokan karate and is practicing at Tahoe Dojo. Better be nice to her.

Brutis & Hoss, Mascots

Brutis is the black & white feller and Hoss is the yeller feller. You will most likely be greeted by Brutis and Hoss at our flooring showroom. They love to go to jobsites and meet you and your furry, family members when permissible. Hoss will lick you all over if you stand still long enough while Brutis likes a nice scratch behind the ear. They can smell a dog treat a mile away, so be prepared to have to beggars staring at you with big, brown pitiful eyes.

Brutis has went to the happy hunting fields in the sky and will always be remembered.
